SVN Multifamily 2021 Year in Review

The year 2021 has proven to be a significant one at SVN Multifamily LLC. (SVN MF). Like every year, 2021 presented its own unique challenges, but our team persevered to make it a record-setting year. Our year in review shows a few of our accomplishments from 2021 at a glance.

Throughout 2021, we worked with a variety of tremendous clients across the Southeast to help grow their portfolios, dispose of long-held assets, and realize profits from well-organized business plans and calculated holding periods. Our team closed more than $250 million in transaction volume this year, managing the sale of more than 5,000 units. We were able to manage the sale of properties ranging in scope and scale from small apartment complexes to large institutional-caliber multi-state portfolios. Check out a few of our deal highlights below.

  1. Country Club Apartments, a 200-unit property located in Huntsville, Alabama, sold for $25,250,000. The property is located in a very desirable area of Southeast Huntsville. Truepoint Capital, a great client of ours, headquartered in Houston, bought the property from the original developers who owned and managed the property for more than 60 years.
  2. In the Chattanooga market, our team facilitated the sale of Fountain Brook Apartments. This 224-unit property located in the greater Chattanooga area sold for $20,500,000. This beautiful property was built in 2004 and was sold by the original developers to Read Property Group out of New Jersey. 
  3. Also in the Chattanooga market, SVN MF arranged the sale of the 250-unit property, Park Oak Apartments, in the Chattanooga metropolitan area, which sold for $20,000,000. This property was sold by the original developer, Park Properties, who has managed the property throughout its lifespan. The buyer, from New Jersey, plans to renovate the units and hold the property for the long term.  

In March, both our Senior Managing Director Andrew Agee and Senior Advisor Paul McDonald were recognized as members of SVN International’s President’s Circle. Andrew has been honored to be included in SVN International’s Partner Circle for the last five years, an achievement that less than one percent of advisors achieve. 

Our team continued to grow throughout 2021, and we were pleased to add additions to the SVN MF team that will enable us to better serve our clients in all the markets throughout the Southeast, including Abe Maddox, an accomplished industry veteran.   

Looking back at 2021, we are proud of what the SVN MF team has been able to accomplish, and we look forward to continuing this momentum into 2022 and beyond.
